THE GLOSSARY OF TERMS FOR THE BLOG WIENERDOG TRICKS, AN ORGANIC LIST THAT WILL GROW HAPLESSLY BUT ALPHABETICALLY OVER TIME, WRITTEN BY GINGER HENDRIX
POLYESTER: The most useful non-natural fabric man ever created out of oil. The word "polyester" refers not to slippery blends or the magical stuff running shirts are made of: it is the thick stuff that our grandma's pants were made of. Rough, heavy, forgiving, stretchy, wonderful and covered in colors and patterns somehow unreproducable even to the most skilled retro knock-off designer.
REGULARS: A leave-a-comment-and-you're-in list of people who declare that they love the blog Wienerdog Tricks and who leave their name, promised that they will receive updates and special treats from the writer. This part never happens, but the list does exist.
RESCUED FABRIC: This is the fabric that Ginger sews with and refers generally to any sort of almost-trash that she manages to cull out of thrift stores and the back of people closets. It is the way she explains to herself why people leave entire bags of old polyester on her doorstep...and why they have also been known to ship to her across the country. She is a sort of Old Fabric Shelter, essentially. She buys retail thread and quilt batting. Oh--and glue and washi tape. The rest of the stuff is Rescued.
